Manchester United have entered the race to sign Rennes whizkid Eduardo Camavinga.
The 17-year-old was a revelation this season, playing 36 times for Rennes as they finished third in Ligue 1.
His immense potential has alerted clubs across Europe, including Real Madrid and Liverpool.
And Metro says United made over a dozen checks on the midfielder this season.
The Red Devils would be willing to loan Camavinga back to Rennes if they were able to agree a permanent transfer.
The club were recommended Camavinga by Marcel Bout, who is part of their French scouting network.
Bout joined the club alongside Louis van Gaal in 2014 and has built a strong reputation at the club.
