Manchester United fans enjoyed a record transfer spend this summer window.

United and Mourinho identified their key targets and all were in place long before the window slammed shut.

But the Portuguese also kept the bulk of last year's squad together, with the majority of exits featuring the club's younger players and fringe squad members.

Mourinho was keen to offload Bastian Schweinsteiger after exiling him to the u23 squad, but the German has said United will be his last club in Europe and he is set to stay for the moment.
