Man Utd enjoy edge on Chelsea in race for Juventus fullback Alex Sandro

Manchester United could yet have an advantage in the scramble for Juventus fullback Alex Sandro.

Tuttosport says Sandro is in the sights of Chelsea and Manchester United, but also Paris Saint Germain are considering tabling an offer.

Juventus are confident of recovering at least €35-40m from the Brazil international's sale. Part of which would be reinvested in United defender Matteo Darmian.

Juve's continued interest in Darmian has opened the door to United discussing a swap deal.

For his part, Darmian stated earlier this summer: "My agent knows what I want. Juve, Inter or Napoli?

“It's not my role to answer that question, I'll move for the best solution and I'd consider all possibilities.

“One year ago, I was close to return to Italy but Mourinho and the club didn't want to sell me so nothing happened. An important proof of esteem, but I'm now looking for continuity."
