Man Utd encouraged as Atletico Madrid face Saul sale

Atletico Madrid face needing to make a big sale if they fail to qualify for the Champions League.

If the season was abandoned today, Atletico would miss out sitting in sixth position on the table.

So far this season, Atletico have earned a massive €77m from their run to the Champions League quarterfinals, reports AS.

But if they miss out on next season's competition, it will mean Atletico need to make a big sale to make up the financial difference.

A prime candidate to be cashed in is Saul Niguez, who is being linked with Manchester United this week.

It's suggested United will bid €80m for the midfielder this summer, with Saul's contract carrying a €150m buyout clause.
