Man Utd eager to avoid spending repeat as ten Hag given youth instruction

Manchester United are set to take a disciplined approach in the transfer market this summer.

The Red Devils are in need of a squad overhaul after a miserable season that saw them finish sixth in the Premier League.

With the likes of Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, Jesse Lingard, and Edinson Cavani leaving on free transfers, the need for changes is even more apparent.

United will invest when they believe a top target can be acquired, per the Daily Mail.

However, they will also encourage new boss Erik ten Hag to look to the youth team and returning loanees to bolster his first team squad.

United want to ensure they are not repeating previous transfer windows, when exorbitant amounts of cash was spent on players who were barely improvements on the ones already present at the Old Trafford club.
