Man Utd do not scare me after Barcelona win - Celtic defender Wilson

Celtic defender Kelvin Wilson says he is not too perturbed about taking on Manchester United in the Champions League Round of 16.

The Scottish champs could be drawn against the Old Trafford outfit when the knockout stage draw takes place on December 20 but Wilson is not fearful of coming up against United stars Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney.

Celtic beat Barcelona during the group stage as they finished second behind the Catalan giants which leads Wilson to believe that the Hoops are capable of beating anybody on their day.

"We've already beaten Barcelona, the best team in the world, to get there," he said.

"So we're confident we can beat anyone here.

"I would like to draw a Premier League team and Manchester United are the only group winners so that would be nice.

"It would be Scotland v England.

"That's not just because some people thought I was crazy coming here in the first place but United is one of the biggest clubs in the world and I've never had the chance to play against them.

"I don't think anyone expected us to beat Barcelona or Spartak home and away - but we did.

"We don't go shouting it from the top of the rooftops but we've always been confident.

"We've quietly gone about our business and proved everyone wrong."
