Manchester United have set a deadline for Romelu Lukaku to be sold.
United rejected a £54million bid from Inter last week and value Lukaku, 26, at around £80m.
Sources close to Lukaku say Inter need to sell to generate additional funds to submit a second bid for the Belgian. New Inter coach Antonio Conte wants to sell centre forward Mauro Icardi - who has been linked with Juventus - and midfielder Radja Nainggolan.
United are prepared to sign a replacement for Lukaku amid speculation they are interested in the Lille forward Nicolas Pepe.
However, the Premier League transfer window closes on August 8, which gives United just over two weeks to complete any more signings. The Italian window is open until September 2.
