Man Utd defender Varane receives injury scan results

Manchester United defender Raphael Varane has received positive news after a scan on his leg injury suffered during their draw at Chelsea on Saturday.

Varane has reportedly sustained a lesion on his 'femoral bicep' which will see him be ruled out of all matches prior to the World Cup. However, the France international could be available for the World Cup.

Recent scan results have sparked positivity in the Red Devils camp. According to Julien Laurens, the former Real Madrid star could return in three to four weeks and is under the impression that his recent MRI results are 'positive'.

Therefore, although it would be a risk, Varane will be available to represent Les Bleus in Qatar. Didier Deschamps has a plethora of talented central defenders to pick from, though the experience and quality of Varane cannot be understated.
