Manchester United captain Gary Neville accepts the decision to take the onfield captaincy away from him.
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson announced the decision yesterday.
"I was captain one week - then it was Giggsy, then Rio and then Edwin," said Neville. "That's not ideal.
"You need someone who can lead the team out every single week so it makes sense for this to happen. Like the manager said, I'm unfortunately not going to play every week.
"It's a great honour to be captain but it's never been the major priority for me. I've played without being captain for most of my career here so it's not unusual for me [to be back in that position]."
