Man Utd defender Max Taylor completes MK Dons trials

Manchester United defender Max Taylor has completed trials with MK Dons.

The Manchester Evening News says MK Dons have opted against loaning United defender Taylor for the 2020/21 season.

United defender Taylor had been on trial with the League One side as he looked to arrange a temporary move for next season and make his breakthrough into senior football.

The 20-year-old defender was on the substitutes' bench for United in their Europa League defeat against Astana last November, just 14 months after he had been diagnosed with testicular cancer.

Taylor joined Stalybridge Celtic on-loan in the January transfer window but is now attracting plenty of Football League interest after he regained his match fitness.

He is likely to go on another trial with a League One club next week with the player 'feeling much stronger' than he did last season.
