Manchester United captain Harry Maguire admits keeping the skipper's job is out of his hands.
Maguire was arrested in Mykonos after a brawl and was found guilty of assault and other charges in a Greek court, however there will be a re-trial after his appeal was granted.
But he denies the charges, claims his innocence, and believes him and his sister were the victims of the incident, in an interview with the BBC this week.
"It's a massive privilege to play for the club, never mind captain. It's not my decision to make," Maguire said when asked if he could remain United skipper.
"I have great faith in the Greek law, a retrial will give us more time to prepare, gather the evidence, allow witnesses into the court, and I'm really confident the truth will be told and will come out."
