Manchester United have secured Luca Ercolani to a new deal for another year.
The 20-year-old defender will now stay at Old Trafford until at least June 2021 after another encouraging season in the youth team, reports the Manchester Evening News.
Ercolani has established himself as a regular with United at Under-21 level ever since he joined the club from Italian side Forli in early 2016.
The centre-back, who has missed the majority of the season with injury, becomes the latest United youngster to commit their future to the club after teammate Max Taylor signed a new one-year deal last week.
Both of the youngsters have featured for United in the Premier League 2 this season with the club three points off the top of the table with a game in hand prior to football's postponement back in March.
