Man Utd defender Lindelof: Elanga has great future if he...

Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof has sung the praises of young teammate Anthony Elanga.

Elanga is already a goalscorer for the first team of United - and did the same on his Sweden U21 debut in midweek. Elanga struck in victory over Finland, having also scored in the final game of the Premier League season in United's win at Wolves.

At Sweden's presser on the weekend, Lindelof was asked about his young teammate by local reporters and admits he's been impressed.

Lindelof, quoted by Expressen, said: "It is very fun for him, he is a kind and good guy who works hard and wants to learn.

"He has many fine qualities as a player and he is still young."

Lindelof admits he's been happy seeing Elanga get his chance for club and country over recent weeks. The defender also is confident the youngster has the right attitude to make it at Old Trafford.

He added, "It's fun that he got to show himself and that he scored in the last match. If he does the work required, he will have a great future."

Signed from Malmo seven years ago, Elanga twice tasted Premier League action for United last season. The 20 year-old signed a new deal in March for an undisclosed length of time.
