Man Utd defender Jones given lifeline by Solksjaer; sale ruled out
Manchester United defender Phil Jones has earned another reprieve at the club.
The 29-year-old is back after a lengthy absence with injury, as he took part in their behind closed doors friendly against Burnley on Tuesday.
Jones played 30 minutes in the game, with the Daily Mail reporting that he is unlikely to be sold in the transfer window.
The Englishman has two years remaining on his contract and wants to rebuild his United career.
Jones is well down the pecking order with Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, new singing Raphael Varane, and Eric Bailly vying for two spots.
