Man Utd defender Ferdinand happy with successful comeback

Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand was happy with his comeback game in last night's 0-0 draw with Rangers.

It was Ferdinand's first serious match since breaking down before the World Cup.

Ferdinand, returning after a long-term knee injury, said: "Rangers set their stall out to defend and nick a goal and respect to them for that.

"It was just great to be back out there and playing. I cannot wait for the next game against Liverpool."
