Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian has cast a huge doubt on his long term future at Old Trafford.

Matteo Darmian has been used only sparingly by Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho this season and there is widespread speculation that the Italian international might end up leaving Old Trafford over the summer, especially with the Red Devils targeting a number of full backs at the moment.

Darmian was queried regarding his future at Old Trafford following United's 2-0 Europa League final victory over Ajax Amsterdam on Wednesday night and the 27-year-old admitted he does not know what the future holds for him.

"My future? I do not know," Darmian told Italian outlet TMW after Manchester United's 2-0 Europa League final win over Ajax.

"Honestly I have two years on my contract and I think it is inappropriate – after such a beautiful victory – to talk about it."
