Man Utd defender Borthwick-Jackson suffers serious injury with Scunthorpe

Manchester United defender Cameron Borthwick-Jackson was forced off wearing a neck brace with Scunthorpe United.

On loan at Scunthorpe, the 21-year-old defender was involved in a collision during the League One game against AFC Wimbledon.

According to reports, Borthwick-Jackson was treated by medical departments from both clubs, such was the concern after the incident.

Scunthorpe boss Stuart McCall went onto the field to check on the defender.

Borthwick-Jackson is on a season-long loan at Glanford Park after spells at Wolves and Leeds.

He has made 14 first-team appearances for United as well as 10 Premier League matches.
