Manchester United defender Di'Shon Bernard says he's improving on-loan at Hull City.

Bernard is on a season-long deal with the Tigers.

"It's been a good time for me personally," he told the Manchester Evening News. "It's been a good step up for me.

"The quality has definitely improved. There is a lot more football on the floor, which has been good, but you just know you've got to be switched on at all times. One mistake can end up in a goal. There are some good quality players here, some have been in the Prem, so you have always got to be switched on and focused because you can get punished.

"Competition wise, everyone, League Two, the Championship, everyone is working hard to win. So the competition has stayed the same, but the quality you can see is different."
