Jose Mourinho's pursuit of an out and out winger have hit another roadblock.
This time, Bordeaux president Stephane Martin has ruled out the chances of Malcom leaving the club next month.
After missing out on Gareth Bale and Ivan Perisic in the summer, the 20-year-old has become a primary target for Mourinho.
But he could be forced to look elsewhere after Martin denied reports that the Brazilian could leave in the winter transfer window, even in a loan capacity.
"He will not leave this winter," he told L'Equipe.
“What if we go an immediate loan deal back? I don't see that being in the interests of the club to do that.
“We have not spoken about it and it is not something we are working on."
Malcom, who joined Bordeaux from Corinthians in 2015, has scored 7 goals from 16 Ligue 1 appearances - including this incredible strike against Dijon at the beginning of the month.
