Manchester United defender Phil Jones has been hit by a fresh injury setback.

The Sun says he suffered a knee ligament injury in training a fortnight ago.

Initial reports suggested he would be on the sidelines for a month.

But he is now facing a longer period of rehabilitation after the brace was fitted to stabilise the joint.

Jones, 24, damaged his ankle in January and has not played a competitive game since then.
