However Anthony Martial and Aaron Wan-Bissaka could return against Liverpool on Sunday, while Luke Shaw and Jesse Lingard have also stepped up their respective injury comebacks.

But question marks hang over the likes of Phil Jones, Diogo Dalot and Mason Greenwood.
