Man Utd confident they're in 'pole position' for BVB whiz Sancho

Manchester United chiefs are convinced they're winning the race for Borussia Dortmund attacker Jadon Sancho.

The Mirror says Sancho is a wanted man even if Borussia Dortmund do not want to sell the England winger in January.

However, it is understood that despite links elsewhere, United believe they are in pole position to strike a deal with Dortmund.

United also want Christian Eriksen and, even though the Dane wants to go to Spain, Spurs are likely to want to sell in January rather than lose him for nothing next summer.

Manchester City and Liverpool have also been named as potential destinations for Sancho - although the latter would seem extremely unlikely with the impending arrival of Takumi Minamino.

Meanwhile, despite the off-the-pitch problems, Sancho has netted seven times, and assisted eight more, in 12 league appearances.

United face having to pay over £100m to bring the former City youth teamer back to Manchester.
