Man Utd coaching staff impressed by Pellistri attitude amid transfer claims

Manchester United coaching staff have been impressed by the attitude of Facundo Pellistri.

ESPN says Pellistri regularly asks the United coaching staff of Darren FletcherSteve McClaren and Benni McCarthy to stay behind after training to put on extra sessions for him, while the South African has worked on his shooting technique with the Uruguayan and he has also been aided by team-mates Bruno Fernandes and Lisandro Martinez.

The report claims that the staff have been impressed by the 20-year-old's hard work, even though he has yet to feature in the first team.

Despite his status at club level, he was named in Diego Alonso's squad to go to Qatar and was even in the starting lineup as Uruguay drew 0-0 with South Korea.

Pellistri was given a chance to impress during United's pre-season tour, but AS have claimed that he will seek a permanent exit from the club in January due to the lack of opportunities in the first team. He has had two stints on loan at Alaves where he made 33 La Liga appearances across two seasons but failed to score a single goal.
