Man Utd closing on deal for Nottingham Forest starlet Matthew Bondswell

Manchester United are pushing to sign Nottingham Forest starlet Matthew Bondswell.

The Daily Mail says United are in pole-position to land Forest kid Bondswell.

The teenager has so far fail to agree terms on his first professional contract at the City Ground and the Premier League side have stepped in.

The 16-year-old left back has also been tracked by Southampton, but United looked to have won the race for the England youth international.

The Championship side will still demand compensation for the defender who was crowned British Junior triple jump champion two years ago.

United academy boss Nicky Butt has been looking to sign the best youngsters around to boost the quality pushing through the system at Carrington.
