Man Utd chiefs wary of Haaland auction; Kane remains on radar

Manchester United chiefs are wary of entering an auction for Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland.

The Athletic reports the boardroom at Old Trafford will assess whether the Norwegian is a viable option, given the hefty financial demands for his signature.

Haaland's agent Mino Raiola was pictured over a week ago attending meetings with Barcelona and Real Madrid, as he travelled alongside Haaland's father Alfie.

United, as well as neighbours Man City and rivals Chelsea, are all exploring the possibility of signing Haaland, who has scored 49 goals in 52 games for Dortmund since arriving from RB Salzburg in January 2020.

The report adds that Tottenham star Harry Kane is next on United's list of forwards, though not at the reported £120m asking price.
