Man Utd chiefs fear takeover battle will hurt market plans

Manchester United officials believe the protracted takeover of the club could impact the summer transfer window.

The Red Devils are eager to strengthen coach Erik ten Hag's squad in the summer.

Signing a top class centre-forward is among their list of priorities, while several fringe players could be sold.

Per ESPN, the club feels that ongoing speculation about who will buy the club or if it will even be sold is impacting transfer plans.

The Red Devils would want to do most of their business in June, prior to their pre-season tour of the United States.

However, the fact that no bidder for the club has met the Glazer family's valuation means the takeover may not even be sorted by then.
