Manchester United and Chelsea scouts were present to see Lyon striker Moussa Dembele score in their 3-1 win over Brest.
The frontman is on the radar of both clubs, says the Daily Mail
Chelsea are thought to have a stronger interest in Dembele with a bid rejected for him already this month.
Frank Lampard though is keen to have another striker arrive at Stamford Bridge in January and is ready to test Lyon's resolve again.
Chelsea had their transfer ban lifted recently which allows them to recruit players having been unable to do so in the summer when they lost Eden Hazard.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also stated earlier this season that signing a striker would be his next move and Dembele has been pinpointed as a target.
