Premier League clubs are on red alert as Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas admits he'll have to sell players this summer.
Chelsea and Manchester United have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Dembele following remarks from Aulas.
Lyon were adamant he was not for sale in January, but that stance appears to have softened after they missed out on European qualification for the first time since 1997.
The Ligue 1 club finished seventh after the French season was abandoned as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
"I am going to do everything to keep the players," the Lyon chief told Le Progres.
"But players who are programmed to play in Europe could want to go elsewhere because we don't have European football."
