Manchester United are chasing Manchester City reject Stefan Savic.
Sport says United made an attempt to sign Savic from Fiorentina last month, before he penned fresh terms with La Viola.
But the Red Devils are now set to pounce in the summer.
United have been linked with a host of defenders in recent months including Borussia Dortmund ace Mats Hummels.
