Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag was tightlipped on his lengthy conversation with Hakim Ziyech after victory over Chelsea on Thursday.

Ten Hag worked with Ziyech at Ajax and was seen speaking with his former midfielder after the 4-1 win.

He told Viaplay: "That is between Hakim and me. We have experienced a lot together, beautiful things. There is a bond for life."

It's understood Ten Hag was blocked from signing Ziyech last summer.

He also said: "He has to play every week.

"A footballer like that, in the prime of his life, must be on the pitch."
