Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has wished youngster Tahith Chong well as he pursues a loan move to Birmingham City.

Chong netted the first goal in United's 2-1 friendly win over Derby County as they begin preseason preparations.

However, the youngster will not be with the first team for the 2021-2022 season, as he will be joining Championship outfit Birmingham City instead.

"He did well to win the ball and I thought maybe he should have finished far corner," Ole commented, per the club website.

"But well done to keep going and he's got the talent so good luck for his time at Birmingham."
