Man Utd boss Solskjaer: What I like most about Alex Telles...

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is delighted with what he's seen from Alex Telles.

The 27-year-old was brought in to provide competition at left-back to Luke Shaw and may have moved ahead of his rival in the pecking order after a series of energetic displays.

The Norwegian says he is liking everything he's seeing from Telles so far.

“Many things. First, a great personality. An attitude I love in players. Work hard, never give up," Solskjaer told ESPN Brazil. "When the game is finished, he's down on his knees because he's given everything. Which is one of the biggest things.

"And the quality he has. Great left-foot, good football brain, good passing.

“In combination with Edinson [Cavani], we found those two can give us something different. Because of the crossing from Alex and Edinson's movement in the box.

"I think they can give us that extra little thing that we missed last season. We felt we had many players with different qualities.

"We have, you know the forwards, Mason Greenwood, Martial, Marcus Rashford. Different types of strikers. And the fullbacks are different types of fullbacks.

"But the addition of these two has given us another way of playing."
