Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer recognises he will be fighting every day to prove his doubters wrong next season.
Doubts have begun to surface over whether Solskjaer is the man to bring glory back to Old Trafford, but he remains adamant that he can make the changes that are needed.
He told TV2: “Of course, we see great challenges.
“It is a great honour for me to be on the coaching side to be allowed to build Manchester United again.
“We're gonna take up the fight. We've done it before.
“Manchester United has gone seasons without winning trophies before.
“Next season we will make sure to climb closer to the top. There are not so many points to the top four, and we will fight for trophies."
Although he expects United to begin winning trophies again, Solskjaer admits that winning the Premier League title next year is unrealistic.
He concluded: “When I came in, people said that there were light battles, but there are no easy games in the Premier League."
