Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admits Scott McTominay got the nod over Donny van de Beek in midfield due to freshness.
Van de Beek played against Southampton on Sunday and had a swollen ankle after the game.
He did come on in the 3-1 loss to Paris Saint-Germain at home on Wednesday in the Champions League, but did not start.
"We know that we play against a good team, we need some fresh legs out there with Scott, he's just got back from injury," Solskjaer told MUTV.
"Anthony [Martial] was supposed to play against Southampton and is looking sharp again.
"With Edinson [Cavani] and the impact he made [two goals against Southampton] , it was always the case that I'd looked at this game with Edinson up front."
