Man Utd boss Solskjaer: PSG experience (& Kimpembe not seeing red) was difference

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer felt PSG's Champions League experience was the key factor in last night's 2-0 defeat.

Solskjaer also was unhappy seeing Presnel Kimpembe finish the game for PSG.

The manager said, “It looked like the game we thought it was going to be. In the first half, there wasn't really much in it, and then they got the first goal. When they got that one, it was a poor goal to give away. Then they got the momentum. They started to control the game. They had the experience to play it out.

"You can see that we've not played games at this level for a while and we'll have to learn from this experience, because it was one of those experiences that can go either way. It's not going to be a season defining one for us. It has to be one that we're going to learn from."

Asked if goalscorer Kimpembe should've seen red, Solskjaer also stated: "Yes, very [lucky not to be sent off]. And the way he throws Rashford down to the ground in the second half and we don't even get a foul. But there's no point me sitting talking about those things now, they're gone.

"I'm disappointed, of course, that we're not going to have Paul in the next round because I thought he was our best player. He had three players around him all the time and he was still at the top, so that's a big blow because he has been fantastic for us."
