Manchester United caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is upbeat around Alexis Sanchez's knee injury.
The Chilean was hurt at the start of the second half, as the Reds won 3-2 in an entertaining clash, following an awkward collision inside the Saints' penalty area.
"We don't know yet," said Ole. “He got a knock on his knee. It might be his ligaments. We'll do the scan tomorrow.
"Hopefully, it won't be too bad but we won't know until we've done the scans. Of course, we'll have to wait until then."
Any ligament damage would surely sideline the 30-year-old. Marcus Rashford played the full 90 minutes to prove his fitness ahead of the Paris Saint-Germain tie in the Champions League in midweek.
