Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says he's open to speaking with Paul Scholes after his resignation from Oldham Athletic.
Solskjaer extended the invitation to his former United team-mate, and hinted that he was not surprised at how things turned out for Scholes following a fallout with Oldham owner Abdallah Lemsagam.
"Were you?" said Solskjaer when quizzed if he was surprised by Scholes' resignation. "He's probably got his reasons why he left, so you've got to ask him. He's invited here if he wants to come and have a little chat about it.
"We've texted and it didn't work out, that's just management."
