Man Utd boss Solskjaer: No need for technical director

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has played down the need for a technical director to be appointed.

Solskjaer insists the current management setup does not need tinkering.

He said, "I believe in the structure that has been put in place, since the time I have been here, with all the resources spent on scouting, recruiting and researching players that make us feel safe when we sign them.

"But they're not going to sign a player without me accepting it. It's up to me to say yes or no when the club finds a possible purchase."

Solskjaer added: "It's a quality to look at yourself in the mirror sometimes instead of just blaming others. Some people blame others, some think they are better than others."
