Man Utd boss Solskjaer leaves door open to Smalling sale

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has left the door open to Chris Smalling being sold.

Roma and Inter Milan are targeting the defender.

Solskjaer said today: "Different things need to happen then.

"Let's see if there is that change. Let's see what happens to Chris when the transfer window closes."

However, Solskjaer didn't really want to talk about transfers this morning.

"I am very confident in my players," was his reply when I asked if United fans could expect to see some movement before the transfer window closes on 5 October.

"In football can't predict too much. My focus is solely on the game. We need three points on Saturday, then we can talk again."
