Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admits he has " an open and honest" relationship with Manchester United vice-chairman Ed Woodward.
The two have worked over the past 18 months to overhaul United's squad, with a number of players coming and going.
Asked to describe his relationship with Woodward, he told United We Stand: "Open and honest."
He added: "We challenge each other. I challenge him and he challenges me.
"It's not always rosy to be United manager. I can't just point at the players I want like a wish list. We have discussions, we live in the real world. We get on well."
