Man Utd boss Solskjaer hints De Gea remains his No1

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has hinted David de Gea remains his No1.

De Gea has been absent for United's last three games after travelling to Spain for the birth of his daughter.

Dean Henderson has started in de Gea's absence, but Solskjaer stressed that it would be foolish to write the Spaniard off, describing him as "a top, top goalkeeper".

Solskjaer said: "You know, David has been here for ten years and he has been absolutely brilliant for us.

"He has pulled off save after save, season after season, at the highest level.

"I'm not blind, I have seen the last couple of weeks, with people writing David off.

"But that is wrong — David is a top, top goalkeeper."

Speaking about Henderson, Solskjaer said: "Dean is learning, he is getting better and better, he's improving and there is no such thing as an undisputed No 1 here. You have got to perform.

"It's a great position for me to be in."
