Man Utd boss Solskjaer hints at Henderson frustration

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjer has explained why Dean Henderson was omitted from the club's tour of Australia.

It was believed that Henderson was staying in England to sign a new contract with United before back to Sheffield United on loan for the 2019/20 season.

Instead, Henderson was given an extended break after the U21 European Championships and will now link up with the Red Devils in China.

"Well, at the moment he's back in England training," Solskjaer said. "He had a 10-day break after he trained for us the first week, he needed a break after the Under-21s.

"Of course, we're debating whether he should travel and come with us or stay and train in England. I thought maybe it was best for him to come here.

"David [de Gea] has a temperature and fever that built up today, so didn't want to risk him getting worse. Hopefully he'll play against Inter. And Lee's injured, so we've only got two 'keepers."
