Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is having Fiorentina star Federico Chiesa scouted.
The Daily Mail says Solskjaer has sent his personal scout to watch Fiorentina and Italy winger Chiesa.
Simon Wells was in attendance during Fiorentina's 1-1 draw at home to AC Milan last weekend.
Wells reports directly to Solskjaer and it was Chiesa who he was detailed to check on ahead of a proposed summer move.
The 22-year-old is valued at around £60million having already won 17 caps for his country. He has also appeared 121 times in Serie A for La Viola, scoring 21 goals.
Chiesa - the son of former Italy striker Enrico - is rated as one of Italy's best prospects and will be in their squad for this summer's European Championship.
