Man Utd boss Solskjaer has big Rashford, Martial plans

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer plans to play Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial as a front pairing this season.

Solskjaer will be hoping Rashford can follow his two-goal showing against Chelsea with another net-busting display against Wolves tomorrow night.

A source told The Sun on Sunday: “Part of the reason Ole was happy for Lukaku to leave is he has total confidence in Marcus as a goalscorer.

“He showed that last season when he made him the main striker.

“But another part of his tactical rejig is pushing Anthony Martial in from the left-hand side and asking him to play further forward.

“He's given Martial the No 9 shirt and has been demanding they develop more of an understanding in training.

“He's told them how much he rates them and believes they can become as good as Yorke and Cole, which is quite a compliment when you think he played with them.

“He's told them they can become one of the best strike forces in the league. Ole's given them every chance — the rest is up to them."
