Man Utd boss Solskjaer happy for Mengi after debut: A decent player there

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says the club "believe" in youngster Teden Mengi.

The 18-year-old defender made his first-debut in the 2-1 win over LASK in the Europa League last-16 on Wednesday.

Asked about Mengi after the game, Solskjaer said: "He is a leader, a centre-back, someone we believe in, he's strong, quick, good on the ball and I think we've got a decent player there."

On the performance against LASK, Mengi said: "It is that sharpness you lack when you don't play regularly, some haven't played since lockdown, for me it was a good exercise, it's job done, minutes under the belt and on to Copenhagen."
