Man Utd boss Solskjaer happy Cavani back for Burnley clash: He's ready to go

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says Edinson Cavani will be back for their clash with Burnley.

The Uruguayan striker, whose four goals for the club have all come on the road, is available for selection after serving his three-match domestic ban.

With the 33-year-old not having played since the Wolves game on 29 December, he should be fresh for this crunch encounter, in which a win would see the Reds move three points clear at the summit of the Premier League table, ahead of Sunday's trip to face current leaders Liverpool at Anfield.

“Edinson has trained well since he's been banned. He's had a couple of days off as well - you can't train too much. He's ready to go," Solskjaer told reporters.

“He's a different option. He's a different type of striker to Mason [Greenwood], Anthony [Martial] and Marcus [Rashford]. I'm glad to have him back and that's why we brought him in.

“He's contributed really well so far. I'm sure he'll be really important for us between now and the end of the season. The end of the season starts tomorrow night."
