Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has added Teden Mengi to his senior squad.
The Manchester Evening News says Mengi, 18, has made the step up to join the senior side indefinitely after he impressed Solskjaer both in training and in matches.
Mengi got his first taste of senior Old Trafford action when he came on as an 84th minute substitute for Timothy Fosu-Mensah in the 2-1 Europa League win over LASK Linz at the beginning of August, and he was part of the squad which headed to Germany for the latter stages of the competition.
He has since seen his United squad number upgraded from 71 to 43, and he played the full 90 minutes as captain in United under-23s' 6-0 win at Salford in the Football League Trophy last week.
With both Chris Smalling and Marcos Rojo training away from the rest of the group while they prepare for moves away, Mengi will be hoping to feature in next week's Carabao Cup third round tie at Luton Town.
