Man Utd boss Solskjaer: Fernandes changed penalty style for winner

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has explained why Bruno Fernandes changed his penalty technique in Monday's Europa League quarter-final win over FC Copenhagen.

The Portugal international fired United into the semi finals with an extra-time spot-kick, which didn't include his trademark skip.

And Solskjaer says Fernandes has switched up his technique to confuse oppositions goalkeepers who have been studying his previous attempts.

"He knows that keepers will wait for him to do the jump," said the United manager.

"He practices both of them and he practices both sides so he's got them sorted. He's better than I was anyway!"
