Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says he wants to see Luke Shaw do more in attack.
Shaw followed up his man of the match performance against Liverpool on Sunday with a more attack-minded display at Selhurst Park, where his adventurous run and pass set up Romelu Lukaku for the opening goal in the 33rd minute.
"We want him to go forward," Solskjaer explained. "That's the next step for him as well, to trust himself more often going forward. But, then again, it was down to the shape we played today because Anthony wasn't fit.
"We played Alexis inside more with Rom, and it worked well with Diogo as the wide right and the winger on the other side."
