Man Utd boss Solskjaer denies Everton offer for van de Beek: I know he isn't happy...

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has denied Manchester United rejected an offer from Everton for Donny van de Beek.

The Toffees were forced to spend little over the summer due to Financial Fair Play restrictions.

Van de Beek was reportedly one of their top targets, but Solskjaer insists the Dutchman will get his chance at Old Trafford, despite him being restricted to three appearances this season.

"We never received an offer from Everton. To me, he is a Manchester United player," the United boss told Dutch television's RTL7.

"Donny is still working hard. I understand Donny, he is frustrated and disappointed [about his lack of game time]. But he continues to work every day with a big smile.

"I know he isn't happy but he works hard and is a true professional. He knows sometimes it works this way in football.

"If you see our team today, we have a lot of good players. But he continues to train well and I hope he gets his chance."
